INTERNET SECURITY PRODUCTS

As I said earlier, there are a plethora of security products on the market to protect your computer. Some are good, some are just OK, and others are just plain worthless. There are even several that pose as protection when they are really bad actors themselves and you would be better off with no protection rather than install them. Many of the high priced suites from some of the more popular names just do a so-so job of protection they are supposed to do everything (Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Firewall, etc..) problem they don't do anything well.

NOD32 ANTI-VIRUS

Anti-Virus. When it comes to Anti-Virus protection one name stands out in the results department – ESET. ESET makes the best Anti-Virus hands down. Their NOD32 Anti-Virus has won more VB100 (100% protection) awards then all the other manufactures. Virus Bulletin (VB) is a laboratory who tests ALL Anti-Virus products submitted to them every quarter. You may say "I have never heard of ESET?" Well, they really only advertise in computer magazines and if you ask "real computer geeks" what they run they will say ESET NOD32. ESET has been making Anti-Virus products for over 30 years. Another caveat is that their Tech support is located in San Diego California.

WATCHDOG AND MALWAREBYTES ANTI-MALWARE

Anti-Malware. Like Anti-Virus software there are many products out there. And like Anti-Virus products there are really good ones and not so good. Which would you rather have? The good ones are Watchdog and Malwarebytes period. End of story.

THE RIGHT PRODUCTS FOR THE JOB OF PROTECTING YOU

Probably 60% of my business is cleaning up infected computers no matter which Windows version they are running. If they want I will set them up with NOD32 and Malwarebytes or Watchdog. I have hundreds of customers with this setup. I may see these people back for another reason but NOT for an infected computer, unless they switch to different products afterwards. These products are that good.
